In the Season 12 episode "Peanuts" (S12, ep 17, aired Feb. 1972), Ernie arrives with a huge bag of raw peanuts he's just purchased. Charley asks him why he's acquired that, and Ernie explains that the peanuts will be sold at Dodie's school as a fundraiser (after roasting).

Immediately Barbara comes in and asks where Dodie is. And right away, Charley replies that Dodie is out buying sacks (bags).

So Charley knew that Dodie was buying sacks BEFORE Ernie arrived with the peanuts in bulk. Yet he was totally clueless about the raw peanuts. It seems to be a script error in that Charley had let Dodie go and purchase sacks -- without asking Dodie (or Barbara) why she needed them (what they would be used for)...!

Unless there was a small scene edited-out from the print we've seen, which there doesn't seem to be room for, this seems like a script error.

Continuity: Fairly early on as far as the character of Charley O'Casey, there is a reference to his having once been married. Yet in a later season, we find that Charley supposedly was a lifelong bachelor.

In an early season 6 episode, I think "Office Mother" with Joan Blondell, Charley makes a reference to his wife. It might have been to Joan Blondell's character being a relative of his wife.

As far as "Peanuts" goes, with the miserable shape the season 12 episodes are in, my bet is something was cut out of the episode.

Anderson's Porch (East / Midwest).
Anderson's Porch... West??

Robbie and his band and singer Claudia Farrell perform at Anderson's Porch in Bryant Park.

But after the Douglas Family moves out west to California, Anderson's Porch again is the venue when Chip's band and his friend from Liverpool, U.K. perform.

Did the establishment have 2 or more locations? Seems highly unlikely.

Yes, I remember the Anderson's Porch reference in Calif. Robbie and Katie were going there early in season 8. In the M3S world maybe there was a chain of them.

Here's another inconsistency--I think in a season 7 episode Ernie says he's in the fifth grade. So in season 9 he'd be in 7th, and in 11 he'd be in 9th; in 12, 10th. Yet in season 12 I think he's supposedly a senior.
