For Christmas I also got Laura Branigan's 1995 album The Best Of Branigan and it has many of her hits and two tracks exclusive to the album and three from her last album Over My Heart. I was surprised that she sang How Can I Help You Say Goodbye before it was a hit for Patty Loveless and it's a sad ballad that Laura pulled off with ease. And her hits Gloria and Self Control were on the album as well. I seem to think that singer Toni Braxton got inspired by Laura Branigan because if you listen to Toni Braxton and Laura Branigan Laura's voice sounds identical to Toni Braxton's

I think in 80's female singers next to Whitney Houston and Taylor Dayne I think Laura Branigan should've been a bigger star because when you listen to the Best Of Branigan album you can see why Laura Branigan was best known for her awesome voice. Because the singer that I can easily compare Laura to today as I mentioned in my opening post is Toni Braxton because like Laura Branigan Toni Braxton has the same identical voice as Laura and sounds like her as well. But if it wasn't for the song Gloria Laura Branigan would've never been a huge successful 80's female singer. But I can bet if Laura Branigan was still alive today she would've made a strong comeback album that would've introduced her to new fans

I agree that this is the one Laura Branigan album you must get because you get most of her hits and two bonus tracks of her cover of Show Me Heaven and Donna Summer's Dim All The Lights and Laura's version of Dim All The Lights is one of the best covers of a Donna Summer song. But why did this album not include her original version of Cher's I Found Someone because that song was one of Laura Branigan's biggest hits other than Gloria?
