I’m glad that I Love Lucy was officially restored. The prints used on Paramount+ look great!
Was it only the first season where they decided to restore it deeply with removal of scratches, etc.? I remember it was a big deal at the time. But then I never heard about it for subsequent seasons. Was this because season one was in worse shape compared with subsequent seasons?
Thanks!

It's great they work so hard on Lucy, but Paramount/CBS lets other shows rot and does nothing to restore them.

I would rather see the original analogue prints kept in GOOD condition which can be done..
I have some VHS releases from 1978 that look goregous...... (Although people are mainly responsible for tapes not making it that far and its sad)

Lucy is a cash cow for CBS/Paramount and that's why they go to the extra effort. All they basically care about is what's going to make the most money and turn a profit.
I would love to see The Cara Williams Show one season sitcom from 1964-65 completely restored and released on DVD, but the chance of that happening is about the same as having snow in July.

I'd just like to see My Three Sons have all seasons brought up to today's broadcaat standards. Some seasons have embarrassingly bad quality.

But did they restore the remaining "I Love Lucy" seasons the same way as they did for Season One, going through frame-by-frame?
