In 1980 to 1984 this slogan/jingle was used in Kroger's 80's commercials and was a new way to attract new customers to their stores. Two commercials have been found with this slogan/jingle and the first commercial features a family shopping at Kroger while scouting out bargains and the second commercial features Kroger's clerks showing who to count on in every department of the store and looks to be filmed in Georgia at a Atlanta Kroger store. I don't know Kroger does not have a commercial slogan/jingle like this today instead of using rap artist Flo Rida's single Get Low as it's slogan today. But seeing these commercials will give you an idea of how supermarkets were in the 1980's

I first heard that jingle in late 1980 when Kroger still had stores in the Pittsburgh area before closing the Pittsburgh division in early 1984 due to strike issues.

Oh, Kurt you have such a wonderful memory. I actually found that commercial while doing commercial research on Youtube and I thought Kroger did a clever slogan/jingle in the 1980's. I don't know why supermarket commercials aren't clever today but this one brings to mind what supermarkets were in the 1980's
