I was watching some of the shows in the marathon and I just wanted those who are seeing SOAP for the first time that TV land has cut up many of the shows. Some of the funniest parts are cut out of most of the shows. For example, when Elaine gets kidnapped TV land started with the men coming through the door and that scene is about 4 minutes longer than that with she and Danny going through a long scene of dialouge. I came up with many many other shortned scenes. If you want SOAP the way it was REALLY shown, invest in buying the series from Columbia House and get the show the way it aired when it originally ran on ABC, not TV land's version.

Apparently not, I would have also like to see the first season, I feel like they missed a major gap in the show, when they aired "Soap" in the marathon. :(

No. TV land began with the the 1st of season two. They didn't show the murder of Burt's son Peter Campbell, Danny being chased by the mob, or any of the other plots from season one. It made no sense to start showing the trial of a case that most viewers did not even see. My point was that if they are only going to show 20 or so shows, at least make them 1-20, not 22-42. At least people would not be lost. Besides, most SOAP fans agree that Season One was the best anyway!
