My mom was looking through a streaming channel and found a version of It's A Wonderful Life that was rated PG and I would like to know if a different version existed of It's A Wonderful Life? Does It's A Wonderful Life really contain violence or profanity because that's what the ratings guide of the streaming service mentions why It's A Wonderful Life is rated PG?

It's a 1946 movie. The ratings system did not begin until about 1968. It's a PG movie because there is some violence. There is a fistfight. The main character considers killing himself. There is a suggestion that a woman is naked hiding in the bushes. PG means parental guidance suggested.

It's a Wonderful Life's rating varies depending on the station airing it. NBC is TV-G and E! is TV-PG. Those stations are ironically owned by the same company. Thankfully this has not been remade, no one dares messing with it.
