Eggs can be tasty in many forms: deviled, hardboiled, scrambled, omelettes, and of course Cadbury eggs. I had not heard of this early 15 minute one season soap from 1951 that aired a half hour before Search for Tomorrow weekdays at noon. I have heard of Ma and Pa Kettle though. TV Tango lists The Egg and I as a serialized drama with a Wiki page saying soap opera, but IMDB says it is a comedy. Not airing anywhere near primetime, it is not in my complete primetime directory.

I never knew there was a serialized daytime version of The Egg & I. I have seen the 1947 film version starring Fred MacMurray & Claudette Colbert. It was based on a bestselling memoir written by Betty MacDonald which would become a series of popular books about her experiences as a city girl suddenly living on a chicken farm with her husband.
