I just saw it on Friday night with a packed theater--the word of mouth is great--and it is the funniest movie I have seen in a long time. It will be nominated for many awards. Go and See it!!

I love this movie!!! I've seen it 8 times and counting...
In fact, I am watching it right now!
It is one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time, plus it kind of reminds me of my own family (I'm Italian, not Greek, but there are some similarities). I am seriously addicted to this film, and Nia Vardalos just seems so cool and fun, she is so effervescent in her interviews, I would love to meet her:wave:

My daughter and I saw about 15 or 20 minutes of it and couldn't stand it. We had to walk out. It's totally predictable with an embarrasingly boring plot schtick and worn out humor. We went to see it because I'd heard good reviews similar to the ones this thread has so far had, but it sure didn't come off that way for my daughter and me. We were both amazed by how bad it was.

i saw it last night and thought it was really funny...the part where the lady talks about her "twin" growing out of her neck was hilarious...

I saw it today with my sister and we both loved it. I think I had a smile on my face the entire time. It's very funny and heartwarming. I love when movies are narrated too.
This is the classic feel good movie.
I love John Corbett from Sex and The City. Geez, he's a cutie. ;)

I thought it was pretty bad, as well. The only funny part about it was the Windex.

I wasn't like, "WOW!!" I mean...I didn't get the big hype. My mom says I'd be able to appreciate it more once I meet guy's parents. She's prolly right. But I mean, it was GOOD, but I mean...*shrugs*

It was one of those movies that I thought was going to suck, but then it turned out to be a really funny, cute, and to quote Janice Warm Fuzzy movie. It's the type of movie that if you had a bad day, will put you in a great mood right away!
