I'm glad you were able to meet Cindy. Is this the first time you've met her?

I was at an autograph show today and yesterday getting her autograph (Penny Marshall was there on Saturday, too). This is the second time I've talked to her. She's one of those people you feel like you already know- she's very friendly. I posed with both Cindy and Penny for one photo. (I'll post it when I get my scanner connected.)

I do feel sorry for the fans of Cindy and other celebrities who don't live near any of these events. However, you never can tell when a celebrity passes through your section of the country.

Where did you meet Cindy? Was she in N.H. or did you travel out of state? Just curious.

I hope both Cindy and Penny will attend a future celebrity/autograph show. They are fun. But they can get kind of expensive if you're not careful!

Oh, I forgot to mention that Eddie Mekka was also at the show. He looks very good- doesn't really look any older than when he was on Laverne & Shirley.

I'm still waiting for some of the celebs from Three's Company to come to one of these shows. So far, only Don Knotts has appeared. I'd love to see John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt especially.

I went to Mass. down in Suffolk Downs. It was about an hour away, but we got lost so yea it took about 3 hours lol.

I'm not really surprised that Cindy did not take another $20 from you. As a lot of people have already said on this message board, she is very nice.

While at the show (and, incidentally, you can talk to the celebs almost as long as you like. Nobody rushes you along. One time, I was talking to Johnny Crawford- of "The Rifleman"- for 15-20 minutes... this was in the afternoon when his table was not busy) I gave Cindy some copies of my memorabilia. Some original TV ratings from '79 (from the local newspaper), and a few articles from the National Enquirer.

I also printed out two topics from this message board- "Happy Birthday Cindy Williams" and "Fans of Cindy Williams speak." For anyone who posted a message on either or both of those two threads, I can guarantee that Cindy Williams herself has read your post(s). I was standing there watching while she was reading them. She took the copies home with her.

Well, I think that if she were to post something on this message board, she would probably make sure everyone knows that it's really her. I don't know how that could be done, but there must be someway- maybe if she said something only the real Cindy Williams would know?

Yes, it was fun to finally met Cindy (and Penny). You know, I really should gone to a L & S taping. I got my driver's license in 1979, so it was possible for me to drive the 25 or so miles to Hollywood. I guess I never did because I did not like driving on Hollywood's crowded streets (especially at night). I guess it doesn't matter now. I would not have been able to talk to her personally anyway during one of those tapings. I have always wanted to meet her ever since the mid-'70s. Next (I hope) will be Joyce DeWitt (if she comes to the autograph show, that is). (Dawn Wells, too.)

Yes, I can say for sure that she read everybody's post. Actually, I intended to just give her those two threads for her to read later. But she started reading it right away, one page after the other! Although she did not make any comments about a particular post, she seemed very pleased as to what her fans were saying. I mean, wouldn't anybody like to hear things like "Happy Birthday," or "I love Cindy Williams?" :)

This is the second time she has been at this show, so what I'll do if she comes to another one is bring my copies of those posts and ask her how she liked them.

It would be great if Cindy would post here. I should have asked her if she is ever online. I did ask her, just before I gave her the copies, if she has heard of "Sitcoms Online." She said she has not but maybe she will take a look since I mentioned it.

Cindy was at the show for two days. The first day, I gave her copies of old National Enquirer articles. I was thinking what could I give her the next day and I thought of printing some threads abut her from this message board. I am very glad I thought of it. When a letter is sent to a celebrity you really don't know if he or she has actually read it. This way, since I gave her these two threads in person, I know she has seen it for sure. (No doubts!)

I almost forgot, the first time she came to this show, I gave her a copy of a survey I did at work. I asked co-workers to "vote" for Cindy or Penny. I asked them to just put their name under the photo of both actresses. Cindy won, 7 to 2! Cindy has a copy of this! :D

Hi kelly,

Cindy's hair is short. Color is either black or very, very dark brown. I did not see any gray hair (it's possible that she colors her hair). Penny's hair is longer; shoulder length.

I'll try to get my scanner connected by this weekend. This last show, there was one photo taken of Cindy, Penny and myself. For the show last year, one photo was taken of Cindy and I, and the next day at the show, I took one of Cindy at her autograph table.

Where did you read that "something" you mentioned? On this message board? Or was it a private email?

Anyway, Cindy would have the opportunity to post here because on the copies of the threads I gave her, it does have this website address. Maybe she or someone she knows (her agent?) who is more computer-literate posted something.

Unfortunately, the only contact I've had with Cindy is at those celebrity/autograph shows. Of course, if she ever invites me to her house, I would certainly go. :D Not likely, though.

Cindy was at the last autograph show in Oct., the shows for next year are in January, April, June and Oct. If she comes to another one, I'm guessing it will be either the April or June shows. Most celebs like to skip one or two shows, so that more fans will be waiting to get their autograph. Also, I've heard that there sometimes is a waiting list because so many celebrities want to be in the show.

I have a good idea. The next show she is at, I will give her your private email and the emails of the other CW fans. That may help out. I guess I should have asked her if she has a computer and if she is online. Her daughter and son probably have computers. :confused:

About your question, at the last autograph show, I gave Cindy some copies of threads ("Happy Birthday," and "Fans of Cindy Williams Speak.") She read the "Birthday" thread while I was standing there. I mentioned that you and britt britt are big Cindy Williams fans.
If you like, I will do the same thing I did for Sitcoms Online member *Shortcake*. Send me a PM with a message for Cindy and the next show she is at, I will give it to her and ask her to read it in front of me so I can be sure she has read it. She has been to 2 shows in the last few years, so she will probably be at another one, soon. I'll keep checking the show's website, and the next time Cindy will be there, I'll post it.

I know that my friends and I have been on the mission with meeting Stevie Nicks and it's a hella job; I right now would really love to meet Cindy and Penny though...
