That's right Cara... she died of a heart attack in NY. ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 09-15-2002, 02:03 AM Whos Kim Hunter? Whatd she do? Georgia's on my Mind 09-15-2002, 11:01 AM She was an actress heres what IMDb says: "She put up with a lot of grief from Marlon Brando in A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)-being the "Stella" for whom he was shoutingbut it paid off with an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Unfortunately, however, it was the high point of her movie career, partially because she was blacklisted for several years during the McCarthy era. On stage from age 17, the Actors' Studio student made an impressive screen debut as the fresh-faced ingenue of The Seventh Victim (1943), a creepy lowbudget thriller from producer Val Lewton. She played a similar role in another stylish B, When Strangers Marry (1944, directed by William Castle and costarring Robert Mitchum, then on his way up stardom's ladder), and was cast by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger in their brilliant fantasy, Stairway to Heaven (1946). Hunter returned to Broadway in 1947, where she created the part of Stella Kowalski in the original stage production of "Streetcar," and didn't make any more movies until reprising that role for the screen in 1951." That may help ;) -*Forever*- 09-15-2002, 01:37 PM I find it creepy that she died September 11th, 2002 and not 2001. *shudders* TJL 09-15-2002, 02:09 PM Kim Hunter was a talented stage actress, but she will more than likely be remembered for her role as Zera in the "Planet Of The Apes" movies. Rockapella722 09-15-2002, 02:11 PM Ooh! I saw that movie not too long ago. Zera.. that was the female monkey doctor??? Or was it the mute girl? TJL 09-15-2002, 02:42 PM Kim Hunter played Dr. Zera, the ape Doctor who befriends Cornelius (Charlton Heston) when he is in captivity. I've been trying to catch the old version on tv for the longest time. It never comes on! What's up with that? They show the Walberg version on some channels, but not the old version. I guess I'll have to go rent it if I want to see it. Rockapella722 09-15-2002, 04:31 PM That's who I thought she was. Thanks. It was shown on July 22. (David Spade's birthday.
