The Bernie Mac Show, which ran from 2001 to 2006 on Fox, still maintains a dedicated cult following to this day. Mostly because sitcom fans, and fans of comedy in general, absolutely fell in love with Bernie and continue to mourn his death 15 years later. The series, created and executive produced by comedian Larry Wilmore, featured Bernard “Bernie” McCullough, played by Bernie Mac and his wife Wanda, played by Kellita Smith, raising his sister Stacy’s 3 kids: eldest Vanessa, played by Camille Winbush, middle child Jordan, played by Jeremy Suarez, and youngest Bryana a.k.a. Baby Girl, played by Dee Dee Davis. It was also loosely based on Bernie’s own life.
