now it's "SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY"
Small Business Saturday takes place the Saturday after Thanksgiving, between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Over the past 13 years, consumers have spent a reported 184-billion dollars during small business Saturday. More than 50 percent of small business owners look forward to Saturday making up a large portion of their overall holiday sales.
The day was created in 2010 by American Express in response to the economic recession and dominance of large retailers during the holiday season.
