After his success on Saturday Night Live Dana Carvey branched out into the sitcom world with The Dana Carvey Show. The sitcom which aired on ABC in 1993/1994 was also known as The Taco Bell/Mountain Dew Dana Carvey Show followed Dana as he showed his sitcom talents well. Despite a smart hit ABC cancelled The Dana Carvey Show after many episodes. Even with sponsorship from Taco Bell and Mountain Dew couldn't help save this sitcom but it is fun to watch

In 1996, Dana Carvey was comedy royalty. ABC gave him a prime-time sketch show right after Home Improvement with total creative control: ‘The Dana Carvey Show’
The writers’ room was stacked with future comedy giants: Louis C.K., Charlie Kaufman, Greg Daniels, Robert Carlock, and Robert Smigel. It featured future stars Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert.
What could possibly go wrong?
This is the wild story of The Dana Carvey Show: one of the most bizarre and controversial experiments in network TV history that FUNDAMENTALLY changed TV and film for the next 3 decades.
