I just saw the episode this morning where Charles and Gwendolyn decide to begin cooling off their relationship and dating other people. This got me to thinking about their relationship in the first place. Charles himself states that they only went out together for a total of: get this, 9 weeks!!! Barely two months!!!!

Now, what get's me is the fact that later on they make so much of the fact that Charles and Gwendolyn are so perfect for each other and they were soul mates and should have gotten married (as the later episode when the Powell's are on there shows and they actually do get engaged).

The fact is, they only dated for two months!!! That's nothing!!! When you view it in those terms, they hardly knew each other. It seems a bit strange how they made them out to be the great loves of their lives when they only dated for two months.

Lol, I never thought of it that way...that's true. I never knew they got engaged in a later Powell epsode...did they just not get married or something?

That episode is way out of place, by the way. I think that is supposed to be one of the last episodes...Does anyone know why WGN switches them all around like that?

I wonder what the order of episodes really is? It seems to make sense since CHarles says that they have been dating about two months. If you think about it, IF that episode is the 7th or 8th episode (8 weeks into the season=two months) then it would be in the correct order.

And I remember seeing later episodes where Charles and Gwendolyn are seeing other people and they are just fine with it. So, I'm not too sure if it is out of order. Anyone have any accurate calendar as to when the eps aired?

And in the later Powell episode, Gwendolyn comes back in a two-parter where she announces that she is engaged to another man out in California. She then realizes that she does love Charles and THEY announce their engagement. In the second part, they come to realize that she is running away from her commitment and they decide to call it off and she goes back to California. So, they did get engaged, sort of, but they never got married.
