Definite overhaul here. It is good to have The Facts of Life return to Antenna TV in an afternoon hour. Diff'rent Strokes should have aired after it instead of Maude, or keep That Girl at 3:00. Archie Bunker sucks, just when I got into One Day at a Time it leaves. The Drew Carey Show, Designing Women, and Soap are all lousy. I would have rather seen Head of the Class, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Growing Pains in the Sunday afternoon/evening block. I didn't get to see any of the Sabrina Halloween marathon since I don't have Rewind. And when is The John Laroquette Show coming? Johnny Carson returning to Saturday nights and Benson getting a good weekday hour are nice.

Is this the actual schedule for Q1 or projections on what time slots the 4 shows would land? Because it sucks Drew Carey Show would be stuck on 1 AM Mondays through Fridays.

Yes, I'm wondering if this is a real schedule, too. It'd be great to have a linked reference.

If it's correct, it appears Bachelor Father and That Girl are leaving, on weekdays. And ODAAT.

Wow. Surprised to see them adding more from Rewind but not *terribly* surprised. I wonder if One Day at a Time will be moved over to Rewind? If they are adding back other shows from Rewind, I'd personally like to see 227 added back. I would also like to see Antenna add Chico and the Man, Room 222, & Julia (unlikely, but one can dream, can't they?) Interesting they are scaling back on their 50s and 60s sitcoms especially with their Black & White Friday stunt on Black Friday. I wonder if more contracts are expiring soon for them and will be moved over to Me-TV & Catchy Comedy. If so, I would love to see Antenna try to get shows like Chico and the Man, Room 222, Julia, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, etc. Those would be great additions to Antenna.

Also May 2024 will mark *two* years since they've added any new shows if they don't by May! I wonder what's going on  Who knows, maybe by May they'll have reruns of shows like Charles in Charge & Punky Brewster to endlessly repeat

Looks like this is the real schedule, Antenna had a Facebook post mentioning holiday plans and four new sitcoms coming in 2024 (three of which are really returning, not new).

"In 2024, Antenna TV starts the new year with four new classic shows added to its programming schedule, including Dear John, Mork and Mindy, The Facts of Life, and The Drew Carey Show.
Find the complete schedule and channel finder at www.antennatv.tv."

I actually don't mind the E/I hour because of what airs after. Bachelor Father's first episode on Saturdays will always be uncrunched at the start. It is really a shame though we might never get an unedited complete series release of Bachelor Father.

Antenna TV showed Bachelor Father unedited years ago, before they crunched the credits. The disadvantage was, probably due to music issues that cropped up, many later episodes are out of circulation.

Unfortunately, what we have now is probably as good as it will get.

Oh yeah. For some reason I thought these were all coming from ME, but it's Rewind

I wonder if One Day at a Time will be moved over to Rewind?

I only watch on the DVD set, but breathlessly waiting to see where it ends up. Unless Antenna is just resting it to bring back eventually. Think they've been running it something like 8 years straight. Unless I'm forgetting a moment where they took it off before.

I’m the odd one out.

I’m very Thankful we have antenna tv. I’m feeling it might becoming to the end of the road for me when it comes to antenna tv. They have some wonderful programs and cool Marathon stunts.

Although it looks like they’re adding more 80’s & 90’s programming and removing and keeping 50’s & 60’s programming for mornings only and not adding any New 50’s & 60’s programming. However I’m okay with them airring 80’s & 90’s programming unfortunately the ones antenna will be having are not my liking. If they brought in Family shows like (Who’s The Boss? Growing Pains Just The 10 Of Us & 227 & Amen). I don’t think I would gripe as much lol.

antenna tv is a free over the air channel and it’s nice that they still air Classic programming and Cool Marathon stunts. However the Scheduling seems off. Example, during the annual Christmas Collection Marathon they could have the 50’s & 60’s Christmas episodes in the Evening Primetime and LateNight and overnight considering they don’t air those shows at those times through out the entire year. In addition giving them atleast Weekend exposure.

Thinking it over a lot of the programs from the 50’s & 60’s can be streamed and some programs from the 80’s & 90’s are hard to find anywhere. Although there are a few shows from the 80’s & 90’s that also being shown at decent times but also you can stream it as well.

Reguarding the start of antenna tv 2024 the schedule is not the best for me. Hopefully with in time things will get better but like I said from the beginning I’m the odd one out and I know my fellow posters seem pretty happy with this so I will be happy for you and I’ll stick to streaming/ Me TV and Catchy Comedy unless antenna tv makes some changes or I see something I will enjoy.

Enjoy fellow posters! Happy Viewing in the New Year with antenna tv!

Darn. I was hoping The Jeffersons contract would be up so it could move back to Catchy but I guess not. Then again One Day at a Time isn’t on this schedule so it’s possible it moves to Catchy instead.

Svenfan1234

I feel like they changed their schedule in order to compete with Catchy Comedy. Especially the 12-4PM lineup has extreme similarities in female-led sitcoms just like Catchy Comedy. I feel like they may be neck in neck with Antenna as far as ratings go.

One Day at a Time I could see on Catchy as well as That Girl but I guess we'll see. But those two I could definitely see move to Catchy. I wouldn't be surprised if Maude and The Jeffersons do as well at some point, maybe even Barney Miller and Three's Company, who knows? I also wouldn't be surprised if Bewitched and Jeannie move over to Me-TV and Catchy Comedy at some point.

If they are shifting Facts of Life and Drew Carey from Rewind to Antenna, I wonder if Rewind TV's future is uncertain.

Rewind TV's issues:
Lack of commitment from Nexstar to expand access, lack of exclusive shows of popularity, lack of a theme when Antenna TV is the primary channel and shows from the 80s and after moving back there.

Who's the Boss?, one of its other popular shows, is now on Hulu and can be watched commercial free, all seasons. (Side note, another reason to not need Logo).

One Day at a Time and That Girl's rights are expiring from Antenna TV. I asked them about this, and it is confirmed. :( Good shows like that leave, but joining/staying is garbage like The Drew Carey Show and Designing Women. At least The Facts of Life is returning to Antenna TV.

IMO - Drew Carey is the most interesting show they are picking up. If they could stop with the constant commercials it would help. It's almost unwatchable, especially their morning line-up.

All of these oldie networks are going to have to start picking up newer shows because the audience for the older ones are dying out.

Easier said than done. By the time we got to the 90s there were far fewer broad based hits that are fondly remembered. And those that are are probably already airing on other outlets.

I have liked many classic shows from long before I was born. And a lot of families introduce shows to their younger generations.
