It's really strange ! It's like I am logged out or the thread has closed. There is no posting box at the bottom of the threads as of yesterday evening ! I can get the box to appear only if I hit the reply button on the left ,or if I quote a post . And I see I can start a thread.
I wonder why this is happening? Is this going on with anyone else too?

You can get it to appear again by either clearing cookies or clicking the http://www.cellar.org/images/buttons/collapse_tcat.gif icon.......

Wow, cool. Thank you Dude for the advice and answering my thread. It worked. Posting box is back !:)
Glad you got it working. You must have accidentally clicked on the arrow icon. Clearing the cookies and temporary files will usually clear up most problems.
Are you using the subscribed threads option in the User CP? I noticed your Yahoo e-mail address has been bouncing for a long time, which can put extra strain on the server. Can you please turn off the automatic e-mail notifications for replies or use a working e-mail address?

Why is turning off Quick Reply even an option?

I always knew the site running slow was Bonnie's fault.

Good question. I would have to edit the code. Some people prefer the advanced mode.
It's not Bonnie's fault. She just happens to be subscribed to many threads.
There are tens of thousands of bounced e-mails. I just cleared 8,000 messages.

I had a really old Email that was really out of date that I never use. So I didn't know if I was getting email alerts . So I updated the Email and turned off notifications !
Thanks TJ , Dude was very helpful with his advice . Also Opus helped me locate the icon I accidentally pressed!;)
Those two get the gold star for being helpful S.O. posters! :)

Why is turning off Quick Reply even an option?Im glad Opus that Todd has it set to Open by default..... On this one VBB site I was on years ago they had it closed,ya had to click a button to activate the field......... But it only worked if ya had scripts enabled and I usually have them disabled so I couldnt use it,I had to click POST REPLY..
I remember talking to the admin about changing QUICK REPLY to "Open by default" and he wouldnt do it at first but then he said "OK if there are any problems im changing it back"
There wasnt any........ I try to help people and and they wont listen or dont understand..
Trying to help Todd see that he can not block HTTP and be fine here Opus!
These sites alllow both

or

See buddy??
Its sad Todd doesnt understand....... This site would be much faster if we could just use HTTP here,I mean we arent transferring missile codes!
I mean my friend Gabe made it to I could get to spiritualforums.com/vb/ (VBB) directly...... (http) Most people come in on https there........
He is thier IT guy and its sad he isnt here to help Todd :)

If that would mean a return to the "Not Secure" message displaying, I don't think that's a good idea, even if it speeds things up by half a second.

Yes https is more secure. We don't need to go backwards to http. What slows things down is the spider bots.

No but there is NO NEED TO BLOCK HTTP!!!!!!!!
YOU HAVE ALL DRUNKING THE KOOL AID!!
Encryption of sites that have NO NEED to be encrypted ONLY benefits those who WANT TO TRACK US - like Google. This is very good reading for all...... My friend MELE20 was right on and she was eventually blocked from posting......... (Not due to that but other stuff)
LOOK CLOSELY AT WHAT MELE20 SAYS!!
