Today the class at my school who does the announcements on the tv each morning made a little dedication to 9-11 video. It just so happens that on this video they show the video of both planes hitting the buildings as well as people falling out of the building. God why are people showing this? It's WRONG and DISTURBING! I don't want to watch people go plummet to their death!!! I was about to start crying because I've never seen any of that footage.. I would have liked it better having never seen it.

I saw that footage in the LIFE mag. about the WTC's. It is pretty distrubing including another pic. If you have the mag. you'll problay know which pic I'm talking about. And indeed, I would have felt better if I never saw that pic.

That's so wrong. We we're allowed to turn on any of the TVs in school and watch the news in school.

We did had a 55 min. assembly out on the football field all B block. We had singers, firemen, police officers, guest speakers... One speaker was a man from my town, a father of a sophmore in my school, and he spoke about how he was supposed to be on one of the planes that took off from Logan but a series or accidents or "signs" as he called them, made him late and he just missed the plane by 2 mins. They wouldn't open the gates for him and that's a good thing now. We had students speak and the head of my town's fire department speak... it was really moving. Chilling too.

And then in every class it was pretty much the whole discussion for the class. My history teacher and I actually, I just found out, that we both knew a person on one of the planes. The same person. She was my parent's friend and as it turns out she was the step-daughter of his cousin...

the footage that i really hate seeing is the people looking for their family members and there are little kids holding signs that say stuff like please find my daddy and that really made everyone cry. but there is no way to get away from it, they have this stuff on every station on tv.

ughh Ive seen that footage its sooo awful. I dont see why we have to watch it when its so disturbing. I nearly was sick the first time I saw the pictures of the people leaning out the windows/ jumping from the building...

We watched the Firemen documentary today in school. (I've said that already) But they were inside one of the towers, and every so often you'd hear this big crash. All of my classmates and me were like, what the heck?? My teacher paused the video and told us it was people jumping off the building. And as they were walking in, they saw two people on fire, but didnt get it on tape. And they showed that priest to died. Any of you who havent seen the footage are pretty lucky. It gave me awful nightmares when I did sleep for the first week.

Oh my god! That IS Disturbing!

At my school we didn't really do much.Aside from the mandatory 4 moments of Silence that was about it....

Today we had a 30 minute prayer service over the intercom...it was pretty scary when the just rang a bell when the first hit,, then the second and then just silence for 10 minutes...

Ugh!! That is not right. Our school didn't really do much of anything...they made announcements for about 5 minutes over the PA system this morning, and we had a moment of silence for about a minute...but that was it.

We had a moment of silence at 9:45 and lemme tell you... it was creepy. We were all just standing there looking at the flag, and it's like you could hear the people screaming. Awful.

We had a like 30 second moment of silence and then we said the pledge. That's it. Yesterday we watched Channel 1 though. For the first time. Ever.

I had PE during our moment of silence, at 9:00 this morning. We all just stood there, after we said the pledge of allegiance. It was great, you could feel that no one was thinking "Come on...let's get this over with!" Which could have been because we ran the mile today, but that's besides the point.

We had a few of those through out the day. Everytime a plane struck somewhere.
