Ahhh what a pretty kitty!!
This was in fact 'Cattanooga Cats', a Hanna-Barbera cartoon from 1969 to 1971, about a rock band consisting of cartoon cats touring the country in a van and playing their own songs. This was much in the vein of The Archies and the Banana Splits, who were very popular at the time. They were being chased around by a fanatical female feline character named Chessie, a notorious "Autograph Hound" who would pester them incessantly. While their music was technically rockabilly, there were elements of psychedelia and late-60's pop-rock in their sound.
Their members included lead singer/guitarist Country, singer/dancer Kitty Jo, Scoots on bass, and drummer Groove, who was voiced by Casey Kasem (who, of course, was a vocal mainstay for HB at that time).
Other cartoon shorts were aired on the show on Saturday mornings.
