Hi!

I thought Judy was pretty funny! She was perfect as the "class narc" IMO, she never quite got the respect that she deserved for doing her roll so well! Here are just a few classic Judy scenes and quotes:

The class is doing maps for Geography and Ms. Landers says, "Judy, would you collect the papers?" she says in her typical "wants to be a teacher's pet" voice, "Yes Ms. Landers." She goes over to Beaver and he says, "Put mine on the bottom!" and she smugs him sarcastically takes the paper and puts it right on the top!

The all time classic is the poem that Judy reads for Ms Landers after she comes back from being sick for several days. (Each member of the class writes a line and Judy put the words together in a poem.) I have never laughed so hard! Here it is, in case you don't remember it!

Welcome back Ms. Landers
We're glad to have you here
While you were sick at home in bed
We all shed many a tear.

We hope that you'd get better
And we'd see you by and by
And we're also very very glad
That you did not die!

Jack

That's classic, Jack! Jeri Weil did make a great Judy! She was quite a talented actress.

I once ran across a Beaver Web site by a guy who had located her by e-mail and established a correspondence with her. He persuaded her to send some biographical notes and a few more or less current pictures of herself. Apparently she was sort of an aging hippie who had for a time worked as a hairdresser. When you looked at the pictures, you had to really make an effort to see the kid on LITB in the adult she became. It was pretty interesting to learn what she is really like, particularly because she never stepped out of character in the show.
