His upcoming book, which will be release on May 7, 2024, is titled You Never Know.

The father-of-two's memoir will also detail his 'temptations and distractions, his misfires and mistakes and, over time, his well-earned success.'
Along the way, Selleck will clear 'up an armload of misconceptions and shares dozens of never-told stories from all corners of his personal and professional life' as well as his 'rambunctious California childhood.'
The Friends actor will detail his rise to the small screen in his mid-thirties and his friendship with stars like Frank Sinatra, Carol Burnett and Sam Elliott.
From becoming a household name to him 'jock days' playing basketball at the University of Southern California, Selleck seemingly spared no detail while putting pen to paper.
Magnum fans will also receive an explanation for why he left the program 'that could easily have gone on for years longer.'
He will offer share a rare look into his personal life and how he has 'frequently' adjusted 'his career to protect his family's privacy and normalcy.'
Ultimately his novel's publishing house promises that 'beneath all the charm and talent and self-deprecating humor, Selleck's memoir reveals an American icon who has reached remarkable heights by always insisting on being himself.'
The Detroit native and his longtime wife Jillie Mack recently celebrated 36 years of marriage in August.
They first met while she was performing in the musical, Cats, in 1983.
After they tied the knot, he left Magnum, P.I. to start a family and reside on a ranch in Ventura, California.
The pair welcomed their daughter Hannah Selleck in 1988.
He previously adopted his ex-wife Jacqueline Ray's son, Kevin, now 57.
'I'm a fairly private person,' the actor later told People in 2020. 'And I've always treasured the balance between work and time with my family. It's always about them.'
He is the latest among a long list of celebrities that have recently written memoirs, including Britney Spears, Matthew Perry, Paris Hilton, John Stamos, Matthew McConaughey, Pamela Anderson and Prince Harry.
