I know that there is at least one thread in this forum that mentions how odd it was when Mike and Gloria got a mink coat as they both were environmentally minded and animal-rights minded (both Mike and Gloria argued with Archie once about "senseless slaughter" when Archie brought a deer's head to hang on the wall) but then in the episode in which Archie mentioned to Mike and Gloria that they are being hypocrites by buying a mink coat, Mike says that the mink used in a mink coat are not from the wild but are farmed and it does not disrupt nature.
It was indeed hypocritical since farmed mink are slaughtered brutally so as not to damage the fur.
However what I find to be other odd things is that Archie was a dedicated union member as well as conservative in his political views. But a lot of conservatives and/or Republicans are opposed to unions as unions lobby for rules and regulations for companies to follow such as safer work conditions, fairer wages, even environmental controls for companies that may cause pollution, and it is like making the government oversee more of everyday life for people and people who run companies.

Also, I recall a part of the episode in which Gloria was happy that she found out that she was pregnant but when she told Mike, he was momentarily happy but then he went on to tell Gloria that during the night of intimacy they recently had he was not intending to get her pregnant and for him to become a father and that he feels that she "Seduced" him. Gloria angrily replies to him "If I seduced you then why am I the one who is pregnant?"
It seemed it was a snappy and "correct" reply but in retrospect it seems that it is and was a dated way to look at as it is possible for a woman to seduce a man even if she is the one who gets pregnant.
