View Full Version : Why does Burger King seem to attract classier people than McDonald's nowdays?

As far as the clientele, when I go into Burger King, I see people eating who are dressed reasonably nice, well groomed, upkept, having at least somewhat intellectual conversations, etc....

But when I go into McDonald's it's like men in their tank tops ~I don't mean the sexy kind~, gross underarm hair hanging out, scraggly unkept facial hair, parents yelling a kids things you shouldn't be yelling at your kids, literally calling them MFers.... SOOOO low class and boarderline ABUSIVE.

I dunno if its just around my town, or if that's how it is every place. McDonald's didn't used to be like that, I wonder why it's being frequented by the lowest of the low these days?

Not the McDonald's of my childhood in the 80s and 90s

McDonalds itself is a massive company with thousands of stores at least on all the inhabited continents on Earth. Because of that the McDonalds stores serve the community they serve, which is diverse. Someone from West Memphis, Arkansas, Dubai, New Delhi and Shanghai, a Big Mac hamburger.

Even in America, there are locations in almost every town, city and community and again the local McDonalds community whether it’s Compton or Cooter, Missouri.

There are differences in cleanliness and service depending on the franchisee. This holds true in China, I have been in McDonalds that were dirty and unkept (usually due to staffing) or maybe they didn’t care, but there was another location in the city but closer to a tourist area as spotless and very efficient.

I didn't know if it was just my perspective that had changed, I just remember as a kid, going to McDonald's felt like going to Wonderland, colorful, magical, etc.... but now its like to a gray, colorless tin box full of angry, cruddy adults lol

I agree about that! I miss Ronald McDonald , The Hamburgler , Mayor McCheese et al ! I miss the bright, happy yellow and red colors ! I don't like the newer drab decor at all! :(

I never sit in McDonald's , I just get take out once in a while .;)

IDK about Burger King? I have not been to one in years !

Old style McDonald's always reminded my of the White Rabbit's house from Alice in Wonderland, the bird house for the M sets it off lol
