In the third part of the three part "San Francisco" episode at the start of Season 5, when George, Webster, and Katherine are touring the city via a helicopter, they pass by Kezar Stadium (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kezar_Stadium). I would take it that George played in the NFL at least, as far back as 1970 since that would be the last time that the 49ers would play there as their primary home stadium before moving to Candlestick Park.
In the "Travis" (https://terrencemoss.blogspot.com/2014/12/travis-1983-episode-of-tv-series-webster.html) episode from Season 1, we see that George was still playing pro football around the time that Webster was born and Webster's late father asks George to be Webster's godfather. Webster is said to be about six years old at the start of the series in 1983, so I would naturally assume that Webster would've been born in 1977.
