Which they had Blair eventually get. Just like Felice and Nancy O. both had Psychology degrees.

Well, Blair was working on a law degree, but I don't think she had it at the end of the series.

I always thought it was odd that the writers had Blair pursuing law, but it now makes a little more sense. But since Blair didn't finish her law degree and Lisa never started one, it leaves the law degree for both as a strange footnote: a wish both of them had, but neither completed.

That's a bit sad and poignant. I wonder why Miss Whelchel didn't pursue that? She was 25 when the series ended and seems to have had no shortage of funds from her FOL years. I wonder if she's considered trying to go for that now? I know tuition is WAY more expensive (far more than basic inflation would merit) AND having to contend with student loans to be paid off during one's golden years would be no joke but I wonder if she's recently weighed whether to consider that onetime goal.

Lisa got involved in a very strange arranged marriage (arranged by her conservative church) and then very quickly had three children just after she got married. She also lost all of her FOL money when her husband made some bad investments. There was also a bizarre cross-country trip in a Winnebago with a golden showerhead, recorded on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.

We already went round and round about her 1st marriage and whether or not she herself was responsible for having gone into it.

However, her kids are grown and she's happily remarried so I'm wondering if she's recently considered whether to currently pursue her earlier dream- even factoring the no-joke odds in my previous post.

Lisa is 58 now, and would be at least 60 before completing a law degree. I feel like it's unlikely, but who knows? I haven't heard her mention wanting to become a lawyer. This parade profile was the first time I'd even heard about it.

Interesting that it's the two girls of the Core Four who had been with Mrs. Garrett since the very beginning of Eastland on DS...:lookaroun

Nancy almost never did promotion with the other girls, and Mindy is Jewish. If anybody was going to bow out, I'm not surprised it was those two.

OH! Nancy McKeon! Since I started my FOL viewing in my formative years with season 1, that's in my DNA so much that I was about ready to type, "But Nancy was no longer a regular by 1981"!

Even though Mindy's Jewish, I wonder if she'd still consider it though? I'm not Jewish, but I imagine that if I were, it would sound like fun to be in a Hollywood holiday parade, even if I didn't "observe" Xmas. Especially if it were promoting my TV show. I'd like to think I would join in for the promotion and for the good-natured pagan fun spirit in the air. :tree::santa::cc:

Well, Felice rarely did promotion with the Core Four after Summer 1980, either.

I know she did the Christmas FOL episodes, years later, and of course she recently did that Hallmark Christmas movie with Lisa and Kim, so I'm gonna say she's definitely willing to participate in Christmas stuff.

Lisa is back in show business. She does movies, doing speaking events, and Collector's Call. I think her interest in a law career has long since past

Lisa has said Collector's Call was suppose to be back and they started taping. Not sure if it got delayed because of the Omicrom variant of COVID. That show didn't work that well when done virtually. Worked much better being in person.
