So let's take a trip back to 1976 (https://youtu.be/sRufAgS1NiU) and work our way up (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdfRwn71RHc) to the present day (https://youtu.be/wZMgVTPZk6I). The show has changed hosts 6 times, seen the top and bottom of TV ratings, and given away millions of dollars in the nearly 50 years since its premiere.

The hosts were GOOD until the BEST host RICHARD DAWSON and then it went to crap :(

I cannot figure out how in the world Family Feud is still surviving and is still popular after so long. Because why it became popular when it first made it's debut in the 70's because people wanted to see families compete with each other and to make Richard Dawson popular as a game show host. But I think the show should've had family friendly surveys especially since the name of the game show was indeed named Family Feud. Because if you watch Family Feud today or any of the other episodes from the Ray Combs era or the Louie Anderson era to the Richard Karn and John O'Hurley era to the Steve Harvey era today you'll see that the surveys are adult oriented and feature adult oriented answers and this is NOT the Family Feud game show everyone imagined. I think the show started to go downhill whenever Ray Combs died and his version got cancelled and when Richard Dawson returned in 1994-1995 to host it again Family Feud lost it's luster. But it was actually the Louie Anderson version of Family Feud that ruined the show and made it go even more downhill and Louie should've never taken the offer to host Family Feud and it still had it's adult image. I think they should've ended it when John O'Hurley quit instead of having Steve Harvey host which I cannot figure out why Steve Harvey was chosen to host it in the first place? The only reason I think Steve Harvey was offered the job was to make him a bigger star and since Family Feud Steve Harvey became bigger with deals with Publishers Clearing House a line of men's shoes a talk show and almost everything you see. And it's because of Steve Harvey that Family Feud gets big ratings and keeps getting renewed every year. But I think it will be time for Family Feud to end sometime and another game show will replace it in the future
