So much of that episode was edited out, it's hard to fathom how Chip became so suspicious of Polly's fidelity. I tihnk we missed something Ernie heard or saw that was important to the sense of the episode. This is one of several reasons season 12 needs to be restored and remastered. biffbronson 10-03-2023, 08:30 AM The Internet Archive includes her makeover episode, with "Polly's Secret Life" clocking in at 22 minutes, 13 sec. In comparison, the longest edited Season 12 episode they offer is "Lonesome Katie" at 22:22 and the shortest is "Buttons and Beaux" at only 20:29. As Stevea commented, the amount that's been cut out can significantly hinder the storytelling and it would be great to have the season restored and available on DVD. The Archive contains prints that had aired on Odyssey and carry the watermark/identification. Here's a screenshot from Polly's Secret Life. I have to say the color is downright awful, nonetheless we can admire Ronne's pretty face: 295634 stevea 10-03-2023, 08:54 AM I have a few season 12 episodes that originate from Nickelodeon in the 1980s. They are closer to complete, clocking in at 24 to 25 minutes. I've also edited episodes from MeTV and Odyssey together, since they sometimes edited different scenes. The quality as you noted about the faded color, is all bad. MeTV does something to enhance the color, so theirs look the best. But we're still dealing with 16mm 1970s syndication quality. There is no availability, it seems, of complete episodes from season 11 or 12. The rest of the color seasons, unedited, had to be obtained from recording off the Sumrall channels, KONG, or some other channel that showed them complete, back in the 1990s or early 2000s.
