In the time of popular restaurant chains such as Denny's and Marie Callender's there is one restaurant that is often forgotten but still exist today. That restaurant is known as Bob Evans and when you see their vintage commercials you'll understand why they were popular. The restaurant's namesake "yes there was a real Bob Evans" started out much like country singer Jimmy Dean selling his line of sausages and breakfast foods each with their own commercials and soon began opening his namesake restaurant chain which made him even more famous. Bob Evans died in the 2010's but his legacy lives on through his restaurants and commercials featuring his son who became a spokesman for Bob Evans commercials in the 90's. Bob Evans even inspired a line of microwavable entrees featuring some of the famous entrees you can get at Bob Evans restaurants with a commercial that featured two game show stars Jerry O'Connell of Pictionary and Alfonso Ribeiro of Catch-21. It is surprising that out of all the restaurant chains that became huge Bob Evans Restaurants should be well known ever since the death of Bob Evans himself

I didn't even know about Bob Evans until I saw these commercials and from what I saw and learned from these commercials was that the food must've been awesome and the restaurants really had a down home feel to it. It's also interesting to know that Bob Evans restaurants had been around for 40 years and I think he had competition with singer Jimmy Dean when it came to sausages because he was truly a genius when it came to designing the perfect sausages. I especially love the slogan used in the commercial "Down On The Farm"
Did anyone ever eat at a Bob Evans restaurant before?

Hi, Hawkee! I like Bob Evans foods. I have never eaten at the restaurant, though. Do you know if their any Bob Evens in California?
