I was watching the Marilu Geri segment again earlier, and was wondering if anyone had any idea about the out of court settlement reached by Stephen and the Serratos. Wasn't it only supposed to be sealed for two years (in about 1986)?

FWIW -- I was watching this segment on omegadoom's FB page and I threw out a comment asking about the settlement. Another member of the group said he was wondering as well and was going to file an FOI request to see if he could find out.
He came back to the group later and said that his request was rejected and the reason was something to the effect of there was sensitive information that could be embarrassing to someone in the document. So assuming that is all legit, I guess it was never revealed.

It appears that while it was only sealed by the courts for 2 years.. It has a NDA clause in it where neither side can talk about it to the public.
So.. Only way you'll find out the details of it would be to go into the court records.. And likely, something from 1986 is not online.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that an NDA clause would still be in effect after this long, but I am.

NDA's don't usually have time limits. And.. 99% of the time, when a business is involved, and in this case, that'd be the insurer.. There's an NDA.
How often have you heard of some weird situation where an airline has a passenger locked in a bathroom for a flight or something.. There's a settlement announced, but, no what it is.. and.. The affected person can't talk about it?
Or.. In somewhat recent news.. Bob Barker. The number of times that man was sued and settled the cases.. They had a one sided NDA where they couldn't talk about it, but Bob could say whatever he wanted.
The exception being Holly Halstrom. read up on that one sometime. That woman went all out. To the point that she was living in her car, homeless for a time.

Little bit of a tangent, but watching the old Price is Right reruns on Pluto, specifically the ones from the 70s and 80s, Bob is routinely an absolute creep with contestants and the models. Especially if a young woman gets her bid exact on contestants row, he lives for them having to reach into his pocket to grab the $100 bill.

Yeah, but it was a coat packet, not like they were sticking their hands in his pants.
And, by all accounts.. He was very faithful to his wife. He didn't basically become a creep until she passed in 1980

This would have been after 1980, and I swear I've seen pants pockets.
