How do you like my idea of a tornado episode? What could be the side story going on in the episode besides the tornado ? :confused:

I don't think you need a B plot in a tornado episode. Just the A plot of how it's affecting everyone. Where are we, a fictional season 10? Barbara and Max worry about some customers scheduled to return that day. Max trying to keep things calm and normal for Annie. Barbara and Mark working to protect the house. Grandma recalling tornadoes and disasters of the past.

I think that stuff would kill a half an hour. Even a two-parter (If it's a 2 parter then it's a mostly normal day till the first commercial break)

How about Julie calling out of the blue worrying about them because of the tornado ? Max has moved on and has a new love interest / girlfriend but Julie stirs up emotions in him ? Not sure if it is indeed Julie or combined with the tension of the tornado? :confused:

And Max's new girlfriend is from the east or the west coast and has never been through a tornado before to add to the drama of Julie calling ! :eek:

I think it would give good closure for Julie as not being such a bad person, genuinely concerned for her family in a natural disaster. Of course Mac wouldn't be in the ep., just supposed to be Julie on the phone call! ;)

And Antenna is on lovely season 6 now, I had the privilege of watching Ann meets Nick parts 1 and 2 today ! At least there was a good looking Latino guy at the unemployment office in part 1 who knew Ann. He was cute and had a couple funny lines . A shame he couldn't have joined the cast!,;)

That's the problem for me. The Disney/Spectrum fight took away my ESPN and ABC, so right now I have a free trial week of Fubu to watch all of it. But that will expire soon, and I can't afford to pay to get what I'm already supposedly paying for. Up next would be a free trial of YouTube TV. But that could only last so long too. Disney and Charter, two billion dollar companies, better adult up. It's not fair they get to punish the consumer over their petty bickering. It's also quite mean to yank away the US Open and the start of football season.

I still have cable of course and all the sports channels except for the blacked out ones in the fight (I wonder how prevalent the Yankee network, YES, is out there. Although that won't be needed for a while in a few weeks. And I need to start watching MSG soon for the Islanders. I don't use that one over the summer). And I can grab ABC from an antenna, although it's a bit annoying to do so. The problem right now is ESPN and all the various ESPN networks. I just need a temporary solution right now and hope this thing works itself out. I can't picture Spectrum perma dropping the ESPN's. Sports is like the main thing keeping cable alive.

It's also much harder to jump back and forth between games and networks with streaming, which is another problem for me.

I forgot to add before, I know Disney did the same pulling thing to YouTube TV in 2021, and I just know with my luck if I made a permanent move the YouTube/Disney contract would be ending and suddenly ESPN would be pulled from YouTube TV again.

YES!! I found that out by accident earlier ! I put the TV on and wanted channel 71( IDTV) I didn't push the 1 hard enough and channel 7 ( ABC )came on ! I realized it and figured the message that this channel wasn't available would come up before I pushed 71 again . But low and behold there was Whoopie Goldberg / The View was on! WOW! Before I got to excited I put on 64 ( ESPN) and it was on !! :eek:

I found out because I've literally been punching in 28 (ESPN here) hourly for the last week and a half.

Haven't been this nervous for the Jets in a while. Usually they're out of it before the season starts. This year they could be competitive. Schedule's tough though, including playing the Chiefs and the Eagles within the first 6 weeks.

Yeah well he stole the shirt obviously , from someone's porch or maybe it was in one of the vehicles he stole ! It looked pretty worn, not like it was new stolen from a store ! They ended up cutting the shirt off him , and the cops said on the news " if anyone recognizes this shirt as yours and you are missing it , we will gladly buy you a new Eagles sweatshirt " ! I'm not kidding ! Like would the person really want his shirt back after an escaped murderer had been wearing it anyway even if they didn't cut it and destroy it. God knows when the last time the guy bathed ! :eek:

I've got a feeling if they worked out the issues with this daytime week (and apparently there were issues on shows on the week before and after becuase for some reason when they originally aired this started on a TUESDAY, not a Monday - I'm thinking perhaps Labor Day may have thrown the weeks out of kilter since they would shoot 5 episodes for daytime with the same guests on the same day) the PM will turn up eventually.

They are running out of "fresh" episodes after all this time...apparently everything does exist and has been transferred to "modern formats".

OK I know I have said this numerous times, but Eloise really DIDN'T know the oven wasn't on ? Meatloaf is one of the most aromic foods you cook! Like how you can smell a turkey or a ham cooking in the oven! YUM ! Meatloaf, if you can't smell it cooking in about 15 minutes you would check your oven ! They have to cook a long time too ! So Eloise never wondered why she wasn't smelling the Meatloaf cooking ? :confused::rolleyes:

I just found out by channel surfing earlier that ODAAT is on Sundays at 11:00PT . Julie returns was on. I came into it at 10 minutes into part 1 ! An observation. IDK maybe it was aloud in 1979, less security at the airport. So people who weren't even on a flight could of course come all the way in , so Ann at the airport to talk to " Knobby Knees" wasn't strange. But even back than could someone just walk into the flight crews break room unannounced ? Wouldn't they have to ask an airport employee to page him or something ?:confused:

So in 1979 everyone had to pass through a metal detector already, right ? So a gun or knife would be detected I guess. If she were planning to kill him. . First time I ever flew was I think 83 or 84 , and we just kind of strolled through the metal detector really quickly. I don't remember I think I had to put up my carry on the conveyor ? But I remember it being a lot less of a big deal than.

Yeah, I don’t see a family member coming into the break room as being a big deal.
