What matters most? Family, of course. Especially if you are a member of the close-knit Winslow brood where the only things that really count are love, laughter and Family Matters.

Finally a DVD cover that doesn't have Steve way up front, with the family scrunched up in the back.

In all honesty when watching this show during its original run, I never noticed she wasnt on the show  Maybe because I was so used to focusing on steve and laura and edddie

Can't imagine this will do well, the whole series is out on DVD already not to mention it can be seen in 1080 & 720. Not sure about special features, but cant imagine there would be anything that would justify buying more DVD's.

Im a Complete series type of guy and no longer buy individual seasons lol But for me to buy this I would need confirmation that its something on the Complete set that is not on the individual seasons

The back cover doesn't list any Special Features. It looks like it will just be the episodes on 27 discs.

I agree I would prefer a complete set, but once I’ve bought the seasons individually I wouldn’t go back and repurchase the complete set. Especially not now with higher quality options available.

Years ago none of knew when buying individual seasons that a re-release of the whole series on one set would be available. Definitely annoying

I just received my copy of the dvd set and other than the cases horribly damaged, the seasons sets for 5-9 are the same as the Warner archive ones, it’s just in retail format along with seasons 1-4 which are also the same. So you’re not missing anything really with the newer sets. Just new cover art on the discs with colours and Steve’s glasses. So if you collect DVDs and never bought it previously, this would be a great release, other than cracked cases.
UPDATE: I have decided to get a refund for this set and call me crazy, I do have the series already. I just wanted to have a condensed shelf and that’s why I bought it, but because I already have the DVDs, it wasn’t a big deal to have the complete set with the ones I have because they both use the same dvd master from the original pressing. Apologies for repeating myself.

This is one of my favorite shows from the 90s so I was hoping they would release some special features with this set. Since I already own all 9 seasons from when they were originally released, I won’t be getting this.

This complete set may be the only one we’ll ever have of Family Matters. I apologize for what I said yesterday about the set. Choose whatever you wish, but at the end of the day, it’s your choice and do what matters. I for once have decided to keep my set and cancel the refund. Done.

Nice feature would have been the step by step and full house crossover

If it makes you feel any better, Michelle Thomas (Myra) isn't in the picture either.

God bless you and her family always!!!

Holly

P.S. At the end of the year, it will be 25 years since her succumbing to stomach Cancer. :( :( :(

So I take it this release does not have the original non-Urkel cold open in the season 1 episode "Rachel's First Date" or the extra footage that was originally included in the first two episodes of season 2 in the one-hour premiere?

The cold open is something created during the original broadcast? why the hell would that be on a DVD?:lol:

It’s the same as the original DVDs. By the way, I got my set replaced and it’s way better than the one I originally got. So, no harm for the complete series set after all. If you like it, buy it.

And no a cold-open isn't something created for an original broadcast, it's an opening scene of a show that usually has nothing to do with the rest of the episode: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_open#:~:text=A%20cold%20open%20(also%20called,or%20opening%20credits%20are%20shown.

Thank you for letting me know, guess i'll see if it's cheaper to get the original DVD sets individually.
