In 2004 Hershey's came up with an idea to create their very first celebrity candy. And who was the celebrity Hershey's teamed up with to create that celebrity candy? Singer Thalia was the choice. While she is best known for being the former wife of Sony Music executive Tommy Mottola and has sold dozens of albums in the Spanish language Thalia hoped to add Hershey's to her second list of working with famous brands along with her successful deal with Kmart and her English language debut making her a bigger household name. To honor her new deal with Hershey's a series of commercials in English and Spanish were made promoting the new Thalia's Candy Store "The English translation of the candy line's Spanish name" line and three so far had been made with one commercial featuring Thalia singing the classic It's In His Kiss "The Shoop Shoop Song" that was originally sung by Betty Everett and later made famous by Cher in 1990. The candy featured in the Thalia's Candy Store series was based on Thalia's personal favorite candies ranging from Hershey's Kisses drenched in the wonderful flavor of the marvelous Dulce De Leche "Sweet Milk in English" to Hershey's Cookies and Cream bars and perhaps the most interesting candy in the whole line Jolly Rancher Chili Flavored lollipops. To be honest I didn't even know that this candy line existed until I was shopping at my Albertson's store buying Thanksgiving food and my mom had some of the Thalia candy in our shopping cart and I asked her where she found it and she showed me the display and we brought more. The only complaint my mom had on the Thalia candy was that the Thalia Jolly Rancher lollipops did not have all the flavors listed on the bag but it was great candy in my opinion. If you are a Thalia fan or newbie to Thalia give these commercials a watch and you'll see what I mean

I cannot figure out why Hershey's discontinued this candy line because it was a big success? And when Thalia introduced the line in her commercials for Hershey's it seemed that Thalia was gonna expand her English language audience and this commercial and this candy line proved that even Spanish language singers who try to crossover into the English language can get commercial fame in English by doing English commercials. Like I said in my opening post I was in Albertson's when my mom showed up with a shopping cart full of Thalia's candy and the conversation went like this"
Me: What do you have in the cart Mom?
Mom: You won't believe this Hawkee Thalia now has her very own candy
Me: Where did you find this I have never even seen it or known about it Mom?
Mom: I'll take you to the candy aisle Hawkee
That same day we bought more of the Thalia Hershey candy and I enjoyed it a lot
