The very first episode of the jeffersons was actually a all in the family episode and will air tomorrow on nick at nite. This is a all in the family episode where the jeffersons are on their way to manhattan-Archie, Mike or Gloria are not seen in this episode-only Edith-The entire cast of the jeffersons was introduced this All in the Family episode.

Well soon as the episode comes on-George and Louise are in their kitchen getting ready for their trip to Manhattan. So while Louise is in the Kitchen, Edith comes over to say goodbye to Louise. So I guess Archie is not seen because he really didn't have a friendship with the jeffersons and mike and gloria only had a friendship with Lionel and he wasn't seen until the jeffersons arrive at their at in Mahattan.

This episode should have aired as the preimere episode of the Jeffersons, or at least now should be in the Jeffersons syndicated package, not AITF, with Jean Stapleton as a guest star.

My guess is that the Jeffersons pilot is not apart of the syndication package because the pilot started out at their old house in Queens, NY instead of Manhanttan.
