In the Incredible Hulk comic magazine Lora Byrne from Marvel Comics did an interview with Ferrigno’s make-up man Norman Leavitt. In that larger sized magazine the makeup man discussed the harsh conditions Lou Ferrigno had to endure such as the appliances he wore on his face, the constant touch ups, the fact the green paint got on everything, how it irritated his skin, and the grueling long hours just hanging out hour after hour for a scene to be shot.
During the pilot episode of the Incredible Hulk, Lou had to stay in makeup for twenty hours straight. That's enough to make anybody angry.
