Hi everybody, glad to finally be back here after they were moving the messageboards. Well, a few episodes ago on TVL the Cleavers were getting ready to move and talking about buying a house. I was surprised because I didn't think they actually talked about moving in the show. I thought that one episode they're in the old house and *BOOM* suddenly the next episode they're in the new house and nothing is discussed. Just like one of those magical things of TV. Like on shows when they change actors for the same character they never talk about it on the show. But it's weird though- why did they decide to change the house in the middle of the series. There was nothing wrong with their old house and the new one doesn't seem much bigger except for Ward's Den. That's the only TV series in the history of TV that I can think of where they move to a different house in the middle of the series!

I just started getting back into watching LITB. And I noticed the stairs faced the door differently and wondered what the deal was. I never knew they moved. I thought the directors just changed things around.
Like on Happy Days. The older shows the house is arranged differently and they never moved.(to my knowledge)
Thanks for that bit of information.

Really??? On I Love Lucy, the Ricardos changed apartments then later moved to a house in Connecticut. Mary Richards changed apartments in the middle of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Laverne and Shirley moved from Milwaukee to Los Angeles during the series. Rhoda changed apartments several times during that series. Hazel changed houses and families. There is nothing unusual about moving in a sitcom.
