Quinn Martin had some good TV shows in the 1960's and 70's. In addition to The FBI, I also have DVD's of Dan August, Cannon, Streets Of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones, and Most Wanted.

Quinn Martin had some good TV shows in the 1960's and 70's. In addition to The FBI, I also have DVD's of Dan August, Cannon, Streets Of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones, and Most Wanted.

The first season (which was actually a half-season) of Barnaby Jones was fully restored and I was pleased with the purchase. Unfortunately, when I purchased season 2 with I think one exception all the episodes were the syndicated version. I assumed that was the case for the remaining seasons which I did not purchase. I had hoped at some point the series might be completely restored, but that's not happening now, it's too bad.

The complete series DVD of Barnaby Jones is indeed a mess. It's better than having nothing but that's about it. Season 1 does have unedited episodes. Season 2 has about half of the episodes unedited and the other half are edited. From season 3 and forward the vast majority of episodes are the edited/syndicated versions. Some of the edited episodes, mostly those from seasons 2 and 3 and a few from season 4, are edited poorly and the endings are cut off.

The FBI DVD's have complete episodes.

The DVD's of Dan August have complete episodes although they appear to be speeded up/time compressed.

The DVD's of Cannon and Streets Of San Francisco have complete episodes.

The DVD's of Most Wanted have complete episodes, four of them appear to be speeded up/time compressed.

Here's something interesting I recently discovered, in The FBI's 4th season, 1968-69, actor Chad Everett appears in an episode and actor James Daly also appears in an episode. Chad Everett's episode is titled The Hero and James Daly's episode is titled Conspiracy Of Silence. Both actors would go on to have roles in the Medical Center TV series which began the following season in 1969-70.
