Mel Blanc is truly one of the legends in the cartoon industry and upon his death in 1989 Mel left an incredible legacy. One such thing Mel did was commercials and with veteran actor Paul Frees "best known for working in Disney cartoons" got to appear in a rare 1968 Raid commercial. This is probably one of the rarest of the 60's Raid commercials because of the outstanding work of Paul Frees and Mel Blanc and Raid probably offered these two gentlemen a huge amount of money to do this commercial. I didn't even know that Mel Blanc did commercials and since i'm familiar with Paul Frees's work with Disney cartoons this was indeed a lucky find

Mel Blanc was the original voice of Toucan Sam in Froot Loops ads in the mid-'60s-he even voiced a toucan in a filmed live-action ad at one point. Frees took over the role circa 1971 and voiced Sam for a number of years.
