In my box of music I discovered an R&B group named Allure and I would like to know whatever became of Allure? They were popular in 1997 and their first ever single in history was a cover of Lisa Lisa And Cult Jam's 1985 ballad All Cried Out and that song was the reason I liked Allure and because that song is an 80's hit. Allure was the first R&B group signed to Mariah Carey's new label Crave Records that she founded. Allure did release a second album as well as a third album and also performed songs on the soundtracks of the movies Runaway Bride and The Best Man. It seemed that Allure was gonna go far being that Mariah Carey made them famous but I think Allure was overpromoted by Mariah Carey and that's why they moved to MCA Records

How Mariah Carey failed with marketing Allure is a mystery that hasn't been solved. Because at the time Mariah had just launched her own record label Crave and I guess she thought a R&B female group would be a great success as a first try for her new label. Later on I was listening to Lisa Lisa And Cult Jam's original All Cried Out and I said "I remember this song" and I knew why I loved Allure's version because it was an 80's song. But I can see why Mariah Carey had so much planned for Allure because they actually were a good R&B group but it just wasn't meant to be
