It's so obvious that Richie's parents never made a guest appearance on L&S because they DIDN"T KNOW LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY! Have you ever seen the howard and marion characters talk to laverne and shirley? Remember laverne and shirley only knew fonzie and richie-hope that answers your question.

Not that I don't know-That Fonzie's Funeral episode is coming on this month-i never saw that episode-i'm waiting-but still marion and howard would have never been on L&S because they had no relationship with laverne and shirley-Now if laverne and shirley was on happy days that would make more sense because they know fonzie. But can you really see howard and marion on L&S without richie and fonzie? that wold have really been weird.

Ok, here I am to help. Actually, Shirley had the "introduction" of meeting Richies parents when she was on a date with him. (A Date With Fonzie- 3rd season). And, yes, they did all meet again for Fonzies Funeral. No major introductions were made, but they all knew who eachother were.

The key point is Marion and Howard would have looked foolish on L&S because there were no relationship between them and the girls. On happy days, L&S were mainly with richie and fonzie so to have Marion and Howard to make a guest appearance on L&S is like Joanie and Chachi appearing on Mork and Mindy.
