George Costanza never seems to have things go his way.
Jerry's best friend is always losing his job or breaking up with a girlfriend for strange reasons. He quit his job as a real estate agent then after he managed to get it back he lost it again after drugging his boss. His girlfriend left a weekend away early when she heard about his "shrinkage" in the pool. He even talked his way to less money when selling his and Jerry's pilot to NBC.
If he can, George will always find a way to take a shortcut or do less. He builds a nap area under his desk, cheats at an IQ test and even leaves his car in the parking lot so his bosses think he arrives early and leaves late. Thanks to his alter ego Art Vanderlay, George will lie and scam his way through a situation... and rarely comes out on top.
