In 2002 a unique reality show made it's debut in syndication with the goal of having women achieve their hopes and dreams named Starting Over. Starting Over put a group of women in a house as their home for as long as they could achieve their dreams and the show also featured them doing challenges that would help them achieve their goal. After so long contestants completed their tasks and left the house and new contestants were added to the house. Starting Over became very popular because one of singer Toni Braxton's sisters Towanda Braxton was one of the show's first and famous contestants. Though Starting Over might've seemed like a Big Brother ripoff the show recieved mixed reviews when it first began in syndication. My mother used to like Starting Over when it first began because of the unique stories each contestant had to achieve their dreams
