Since it was so hot today, and my school doesnt have air-conditioning in most of the wings, we got out 2 hours early! Yay! It's the closest thing I've had to summer break in awhile! So...the point of my topic...

Does your school have air-conditioning???

Mine does in the freshman hall, which is what I am, but since I'm taking lots of upperclassmen classes, all my classes in the afternoon are unbearably hot!

U suck! LOL j/k...No my school has no A.C. except in the new field house...My schoolw was built in 1840 so they say it would cost way to much to put ac in...I think thats crap though, they use that excuse why they dont have am evelator either...oh well I hate my school

Excuse you?? I think maybe you owe me an apology! lol You guys are the ones who suck! Geez! How lucky are you?? Air! I had AC in jr high, but the high school is so big, and I live in Iowa, and as we all know, Chris, Iowa is just a bunch of farms, right? :rolleyes:

my school has air all the classrooms are freezing. everybody brings blankets its so cold.

we have air conditioning in 2 rooms...the library (FEEN! its so the books wont melt or something... ;) ) and the TV studio. The rest fo the building is soooo hot, especially since they have these huge windows that make the outter halls practically a greenhouse. Its miserable when its hot. Then in the winter those rooms are FREEZING.

We've never gotten out of school for heat though!

We have an elavator, but just for the wheelchairs.....

Our old school didn't have A/C. Last time it was remodeled was in 1968.....

My new school here has Central AC.

My school sucks. My school dosen't have AC or elevators.

yeah i dont believe id go to a school without ac. i melt easily.

Of course we have air conditioning...we'd all die without it.

Ugh, I know what you mean!! My math class is really cold and the air in my English class doesn't circulate...lol..so you're either sitting in a spot where the vent blows and you're freezing to death, or you're sitting in a spot away from the vent where it's like 10 degrees warmer, lol. It's messed up.

Same. And I know what you mean about the air! It's on from September to November 1, then the heat comes on from November 2-March 31, then the freakin air again! In April!

I say brrrrrrrrr, it's cold in here, there must be some Clovers in the atmosphere.. sorry moment! :p

My school is screwed. Okay period 1, spanish is fine. Period 2, Algebra is FREEZING. Period 3, Biology is HOT. Lunch is okay, study hall is okay, Period 5, American Cit is okay, Period 6, PE is HOT cuz we go outside and we're like hot hot hot then we go to English and that room is like a friggin sauna.

So yea. My story.

AGH!! Yes, we have AC. I hate it cuz it is like 10 degrees in the buildng. They are like well we have to keep it cold to keep the fungis from grwoing lol!!So, all of us wear sweaters to school in 90 degree weatehr and look like freaks cuz its so hot otuside and we are dressed like eskimos. Its ridicuols, and they don't have much heat for the winter so its like ahhhh. ok im done

AHH! You all are complaining about how cold your school is, and last year, I would have joined you, but it's hot this year!! I hate it!

BTW...Amy...we have Spanish the same period, and the same names in there! We could switch! lol

i just realized somethin. my school was Freeeeezzzzzzing last year but this year some halls are really hot.. and they're doing this new lets save energy thing so im thinkin they're usin the AC waaaay less. cheapos!

I got out early again today! Yay!

I saw that half the schools in Iowa got out early today. Lucky you. The kids here got stuck in school. *evil laugh*

Geez!!! Half our schools?? I didnt know that! Mine and the other high school here in town are the only ones that got out. The other schools have air.

We have air condition in every builing from the bathrooms to the gym. And it'll be 50 degrees even if it's 60 outside.

Yeah...they were running a crawl on the bottom of the TV this morning. It looked like a snow day. Most of the smaller towns in central Iowa got out. Des Moines and its bigger suburbs were stuck 'cause we all have air.

same...and when i was walking to my friends house I was like "holy **** its hot out!" but in the morning it was freezing and I was so cold when we were driving to school

Ah, I'm on the waaay west side of IA, next to Omaha. Our football team played in Des Moines today. That had absolutely no point, but oh well...I'm tired.

Our school is airconditioned except for the gym. And boy do I hate that. It's colder OUTSIDE the gym then it is in it. The school board *refuses* to add ac in there even tho some other schools have them and right now it's prime heat stroke conditions here in GA and dat be bad *shrug*

Yeah we have AC but I can't tell you how many days I've come to school and it has been freezing cold inside. Then there are other days where one side of the building will be boiling hot and the other will be like 50 degrees.

That's how it was last year especially. Some rooms would be freezing cold and some would be so hot. I wore my jacket just about every day because I never knew which classrooms were going to be cold.

Most of my school ISNT air conditioned. Some rooms are:
-cooking rooms
-kitchen (by the cafeteria)
-rooms that are dedicated to compers (like rooms where there are all computers for like typing classes)
-library
-offices
-new music wing that they're building will have it
-auditorium/stage

all the rooms have heating. It's not really that necessary to have AC, it's only really hot in June and September...but whatever...

Yep. My college has finally finished most of the new buildings so the classes have moved into those. They are renovating the other buildings.

we are in a temporary school since our high school is getting renovated and we have no air conditioning and every classroom has fans.

It sucks, huh? I hate not having air conditioning. I was so used to it, because this is my first year not having it.

ur so lucky! only the elementary schools get out early if it's hot. but, we do have air conditioning. everywhere. but on the first day, they didn't turn it on till like after 10 so i was sweating really badly in english. and then the next day, it was soo cold. usually, the classes are nice and cool. especially the bungalos.

Lucky!! Half our building are old and they have no interest in putting AC in them. They have an interest in taking our money, but not doing anything useful with it.

I have 5 classes and 2 of them moved 'cause the room had no air. The ones that are air conditioned have the thermostat set at like 76 or something. Sure, save money but still charge us more. :rolleyes:

Yet again, I'm out early! And since my school is starting a new thing where we go in early and get out at the same time, then on Monday's, we go in at 9:30, so we arent all so tired, I went in @ 9:30 and got out at 12:50!
