What people do you think got picked on the most in real life due to their interview from a segment at Unsolved Mysteries in its original run? Like those who got picked on the most from family members/spouses, or neighbors, friends, co-workers, or former classmates .... (in your opinion or if you know of someone who later said so via social media or perhaps in person)? for me it is:

1) the young red head lady who wore a head band (lol) and said she AND HER sister were abducted by aliens and saw paper thin flat screen TVs floating around the room (UFO segment).

2) the guy who said: "sure you did, sure you did, and I am Michael Jordan" in the Mr Bean segment (Murder segment).

the guilty ex/husbands like Chad Noe and Mark Nichols probably got a lot of crap IRL from their communities after their interviews.

Anybody in the Sammy Wheeler segment. The premise was decidedly not funny, but everyone from the case was memorable in that silly way. They're funnier the more you re-watch the segment.
I wouldn't put Mark Nichols or Chad Noe in that camp myself.

Agree on everyone in the Sammy Wheeler segment.

Tim McClure, I'm sure, for being the most obtuse doofus ever to appear on the show.

The Know What I'm Sayin? guy.

The occult bozo from the Kurt McFall segment.

McClure's "holy spirit" reference makes me laugh every time, both because of the content and delivery. His face at the time makes it even better.

Why? Because of his pearly whites or his conspiracy theories?!

Today would be worse for UM guests as back then there was no internet for unsolved mysteries Era 1987 to 1997 ish. Viewers on YouTube or social media can put that silly UM segment with Tyler and clip the worst few seconds and have it available online 24/7 week after week year after year lol. Back then a guest would only have to worry about his/her segment being shown again in reruns but those reruns were usually every couple months. Today is odd. We can be humiliated x infinity!!!

Definitely the Allagash abductees. these two were not interviewed, but I would have made fun of them as much as possible: Tony Alamo and Nelson DeCloud. they were both ridiculous and I would imagine that they would struggle in prison.

The guy who insisted Anya Anderson was Anastasia (you'll see many comments on the YouTube video calling him a dope).

The magic rock family probably got teased by their local community (though I personally find it a charming segment and was just happy for them to have some nice things happen to them, magic or not).

The historian? That entire interview dripped of arrogance, especially the part where he talked about Anastasia refusing to shake the hand of "a lowly German supreme court judge" because it was some "breach of etiquette." Fascinating theories but I agree it's funny that one update ripped the entire segment to shreds.

Even funnier that she's supposed to be a stuffy royal yet the segment talks about how ridiculously messy and gross her house was. So she won't shake the hand of a "lowly" judge yet she'll live in squalor?

I love the name Anya. It's Tanya wo the T. If this happened today, her lying about being royal, people would call her ann-Ya ! Like dubb Ya ! (George W Bush)
