In 2001 The WB Network gave future musicians a chance to shine with Pop Stars. Pop Stars followed future musicians on a quest to create the next pop group and sign them on a record contract with a record company. The first season of Pop Stars was won by Eden's Crush who later released their lone debut album also called Pop Stars and had a hit with Get Over Yourself as their lone single. A second season of Pop Stars was made this time with a group named Scene23 as the final winners who also released their lone album. Despite lasting only two seasons Pop Stars though short-lived would pave the way for American Idol and ABC's Making The Band and other music based reality shows. Pop Stars was also produced by Stone Stanley Entertainment who also produced Legends Of The Hidden Temple for Nickelodeon as well as Shop Til You Drop
