Have you noticed in the Powell shows that Charles seems to have a new love interest in almost every show? On Friday's show, it was Gail, the writer at the newspaper who changes his story and he dumps her. Yesterday, it was Linda, whom he inadvertantly asks to marry him and she turns him down since they are both still in college.

I don't know, it seemed that it trivializes his relationships when he dumps every girl in each episode. The Pembroke shows really had a certain depth to them because Charles was heavily involved with Gwendolyn. Oh well, you can't have everything.

That's pretty much the way it was with Charles' love life during the Powell seasons. He was constantly seeing a different girl per episode.

However, the only girl he ever saw steadily after Gwendolyn was Stephanie, played by the very lovely Erika Eleniak. She was around for a few episodes, but they wrote her out of the show with no explanation. She should've become a regular cast member. Oh well.
