Ever since Nickelodeon Movies launched with creating the movie Harriet The Spy in 1997 I wondered how Nickelodeon was able to create their own movies rather than show them on Nickelodeon? Because based on the success of Harriet The Spy they repeated that same success by turning the popular Good Burger skit from All That into Good Burger and it made Kenan And Kel huge celebrities for Nickelodeon and I think what Nickelodeon did was do the same thing that Saturday Night Live did with the character Pat with It's Pat The Movie. And due to Good Burger Nickelodeon Movies thrived and once Nacho Libre debuted with Jack Black Nickelodeon Movies was on a roll and then they had the animated movie Barnyard The Original Party Animals which spun-off an animated cartoon series too. But I think they are focusing on creating TV movies now because that is what makes the most money for Nickelodeon

I look at what happened when Nickelodeon made the leap from television to the big screen (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nickelodeon_Movies), with animated show expansions, goofy comedies and adaptations of best-selling books.
