"The Vivian Vance Show": spin-off from The Lucy Show, Vivian Bagley gets married and another chapter of her life begins . . .
baronzzz 09-04-2002, 12:10 PM Jackee had a pilot for a spinoff of 227. It was very funny as she went to Manhattan playing the same character, Sandra Clarke.
Also, I think I read where there had been talk in the 50s about an I Love Lucy spinoff with Fred and Ethel, but Vivian Vance had no intention of working with William Frawley under those circumstances. Has anyone else heard about that? I cant imagine I Love Lucy without the Mertzes. But I would watch anything with Vivian Vance in it.

I heard the same thing as well about "The Mertzes." I guess they were going to give them that spinoff once the Ricardos moved to the country.
I wish the Cheers spinoff "The Tortelli's" lasted a lot longer.
My spinoffs:
1. Welcome to La La Land(Cheers Spinoff)-Andy Andy is released from a Boston mental institution and moves to Hollywood to become an actor.
2. Roz(Frasier spinoff)-Roz Doyle gets her own radio show in New York City.
3. Moon Over L.A.(Frasier spinoff)-Daphne Moon's quirky brother Nigel moves to L.A. for adventure.
I personally would have loved to have seen a "Laverne and Shirley" spinoff called "Lenny and Squiggy". It absolutely mystifies me that they never got their own show, considering that the late '70s were full of spin-offs, and that the show could very well have survived once "Laverne and Shirley" went off the air. I would have watched this every week and not stopped laughing!
24/7 reruns 08-25-2024, 10:32 AM Wow this is an old thread. I think there is a more recent one but can't find it.
Anyway, I think that Leo and Sylvia Schnauser from Car 54, Where are You should have had their own show.
howilu 08-26-2024, 09:31 AM One idea for a spinoff would have been the Dobie Gillis character Chatsworth Osborne Jr. Given the right premise and casting, it would have been a hit.
Alan Brady's Hair 08-26-2024, 09:43 AM "The Professor-Mary Ann Mysteries"
"The Professor-Mary Ann Mysteries"

No, after the Island. Professor does the science, Mary Ann does the leg work.
Charles Knox 08-26-2024, 10:29 PM No, after the Island. Professor does the science, Mary Ann does the leg work.
Dawn Wells doing some leg work..

Charles Knox 08-26-2024, 10:49 PM If Travolta's movie career hadn't taken off, maybe a Welcome Back Kotter spin-off about Barbarino working as a hospital orderly while taking a night class to become a paramedic.
24/7 reruns 08-28-2024, 02:09 PM From Green Acres Mr. Haney could have been the Original American Picker
