In the episode where James gets a gun, Florida asked him would he really use that gun on someone if they broke into the apartment and tried to harm them…

Did she not realize that’s what James got the gun for? I mean, what’s the philosophy about the situation?

I just thought about that. LOL. Who the hell hides a gun in the living room? There is already a possibility that if someone breaks in the apartment trying to harm them they’re gonna look around and stumble upon the gun. That’s just common sense.

I think Florida was against having a gun in the house because she believed that violence begets violence. For example if somebody breaks in that have a gun and they see that James have a gun too, it will be Gunfight At Ok Corral in the ghetto :D

He should have just put it under the mattress and kept bullets in the bedside table. Why even worry Florida about it?

If somebody try to rob the Evans, the only valuable thing they probably find would be the TV since TVs were expensive back in the 70's. The silver shaker might also be worth something too, but James's gambling friend Ernie helped himself with that one already :D

The only time they were robbed is when someone witness them winning a lottery. James didnt need a gun because they had nothing to steal:lol:

Like LittlePeggy said, it was no need for James to mention the gun, he didnt have any small kids who didnt know any better so just should have kept it a secret and have it hidden without telling florida

I think Florida didn’t want James to bring a gun into the house on purpose so that whenever a robber breaks into the house James would get killed and she would get some good ol’ insurance money afterwards.:lol::lol:
