Whata Guy. Rich, Brillant, Smarts, Way Out There.. I certainly don't dislike him but a lot of what he does is not a factor in my life.

The Push for EV's not me, I guess some to a degree but not the push.

Twitter and what he has done since he acquired it. I'm not a twit person but I see it all.

Looks like he's been all over the place politically.

What's wrong, all too shy to give opinions on Musk?

Not everyone cares enough about him to form an opinion. It's why nobody answered. The MSM did a great job hyping this guy up as if everyone in the world cares about him and is waiting with baited breath for his every move. Nobody cares except the MSM and tech nerds who spend all their free time on Reddit or Ars Technica.

He certainly does his part and way more to propagate the species.

Shrug. Very rich douche kinda sums it up nicely.

By the way, I don’t necessarily mean that as an insult. I don’t think you can be majorly successful and become overwhelming rich in business by always being “nice” or a “sweetheart”. You gotta do what you gotta do.

But I still think he’s a bird killer.

Think what you want, Musk has brought some interesting topics and discussions to the world... He's not stuck constantly discussing a woman.

When Elon Musk just made electric cars he was a liberal darling. They loved him. He was going to save the planet.

Then, when he bought Twitter and stopped Twitter from banning conservatives, he was the second worst person in the world (after Trump of course).

I have no interest in electric cars or Twitter. If he pisses off liberals, I like him.

I was mostly curious to see if I could get away with using the word douche around here. Apparently I can.

One thing I am celebrating now is that Musk is changing the name of Twitter to “X” for some reason. He wants to make the application like “WeChat” (微信)in China where people can pay bills, get funds directly, send pictures and do messaging. In China, I have used We Chat for a decade and it’s wonderful. I think this is direction Musk wants to go with X/Twitter.

But what I am celebrating is that he is changing the term “Tweet” into the intelligent word “Post”. “Retweeting” is now “Reposting”. Thank God. If you read some of my messages you know how much I psychotically HATE “tweet” in any context. It is an infantile and imbecilic term. Goodbye Tweet!

Like I said, I don’t keep up with Musk and really don’t know about him much. I am jealous of him since he is about my age and is a free person worth BILLIONS of Dollars. I know that the Left hates him with a passion, probably since the original owners of Twitter were tools of the Left and they now Musk has given back the voices of the anti-Left. Musk has allowed former President Trump back his privileges to post (which Trump hasn’t in deference to his own social media website).

Here is a HUGE thread from the forum Straight Dope who are a bunch of whiny, self righteous people of a political stripe who just hate him with many of them calling him “Elmo” in insult. It’s interesting none the less of you can stomach the sanctimonious and self righteousness of them.

This is what Elon Musk believes
As he implants chips in brains
JON RAPPOPORT

PREVIEW

READ IN APP

Musk thinks this technology will eventually allow full data-streaming to the brain.

Meaning: loads and tons and mega-tons of information will enter brains. Sent from the outside. From outside people who decide what to insert. In brains.

There is only one response to Musk’s claim. When he’s ready to deploy full data-streaming, HE’S the first volunteer.

Because I have news. Not only is this program a crime, not only is it a medical assault…

It doesn’t work.

Musk and other high IQ idiots fail to understand a simple thing. The brain is not the mind.

The brain isn’t consciousness.

The INDIVIDUAL isn’t the brain.

Sending 500 tons of data into brain cells doesn’t make that info usable.

It will, however, cause massive confusion, chaos, and psychosis.

Musk will find that out when he’s the first volunteer.

Musk is one of those high-IQ people who were educated during the first flush of the Age of Information—and bought into the myths. They believe, wrongly, there is something intrinsically alive about data. They like that idea because they have a facility with data.

Whereas, actually, data are dead.

You could put a trillion pieces about flying planes into the brain of an inventory manager at a warehouse, and then sit him in the cockpit of a Cessna, and if he could somehow get the plane off the ground, he’d crash it. Right away.

He’d have all the data, but he wouldn’t KNOW anything. He wouldn’t have piloting skills.

A shop steward at an auto plant wouldn’t suddenly start playing Bach harpsicord fugues.

A doctor wouldn’t throw a no-hitter at Yankee Stadium.

Chances are good that, after the “full data-streaming,” they’d all be on Thorazine. Permanently.

And we’re not even getting into the mind controlą aspect of all this insertion insanity:...
