William Dozier is a TV producer who found a niche in campy superhero comedies. He’s best known as the creator of the Adam West (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7jRhII5l2Q) “Batman” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvTyIqQlCV0) series (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgX5zX0LYS8). But in 1967, he created two pitches for other superheroes – a pilot for a Wonder Woman series and a network pitch for Batgirl (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlhIXzoTAIA).
Both of those videos have since emerged on the internet. And they are both very strange.
(Many people THINK the Batgirl (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJsjkSxPC64) video was a rejected pilot for a Batgirl series, but that’s not actually the case. By the way, titling this video was freakishly hard. There are only so many words you can cram in a video title or on a thumbnail and make it catchy but still vaguely accurate.)
