A Family Guy episode parodying Carol Burnett's most famous character caused the iconic comedian to sue the Fox animated series for copyright.

I'm a Carol Burnett fan, in fact I just bought a big pile of DVDs of her series. But I'm disappointed that she sued over the parody. I'm glad the judge dismissed the case, we need fewer frivolous lawsuits clogging up the courts.

A big part of Carol's career was built on parodies of movies, commercials, etc., so it was highly ironic that she pursued this to begin with! "As the Stomach Turns" anyone??

I think Queen Elizabeth II showed admirable restraint in not going after Carol for her parody...!
